Roads and mileage

Defense was... tricky. Tricky was probably the best word. Professor Brown saw a lot and talked about everything else. Professor Ross saw more, maybe. The eyes made telling tricky.

That word again.

Mike was nice. No question there and if he had been an soldier, some how, she would of had to leave. Leo was decent too. That helped.

And still she wanted a window that opened into the air before she finished at Hogwarts.

One thing that Kirika misses about Paris is the view. The view from the apartment was not, perhaps, the best one in Paris, but when you are really in Paris and the Eiffel Tower doesn't relocate to be seen in every shot of the skyline one makes do.

There are are windows in the Slytherin rooms but none that open. None you can lean out of and catch a fresh breeze.

None that you can see the moon or the stars through.

And so at night, with all the lights but one candle out and that shaded to save night vision Kirika sits and drinks a cup of tea without a moon and with out a sky and hungers for a fresh breeze.

AU Hogwarts: General Notes

Kirika Yuumura has a spotty, private education before coming to Hogwarts. She can kill a man single handed, speak half a dozen languages easily and brew a handful of potions. What she can't do is remember her family or more than a few years before.

She doesn't know popular wizard or muggle culture until you shove it in her face. She does enjoy sketching, though it makes her sad, and simple physical exertion (running, jumping, flying) without a goal.

Wand: Ash with thestral hair, very stiff, 23 cm (~9.05").
